Coming Up For Air is the second album from Back Door Slam, but is the first since Knowles parted company with bassist Adam Jones and drummer Ross Doyle. Joining Knowles in the studio for this sophomore effort, of sorts, are Peter Frampton and Benmont Tench. Frampton serves as producer for the majority of the album. He also co-wrote two songs with Knowles and lends some guitar and bass work to a couple tracks. Tench (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers) plays Hammond organ on several of the album’s 11 tracks
