В 1970 году группа заняла второе место на музыкальном фестивале в Сан-Ремо с песней “La Prima Cosa Bella”, а через год повторила своё достижение с песней “Che Sara”. В течение 70-х она смогла получить несколько крупных музыкальных и TV-наград, совершила ряд туров и завоевала популярность у итальянской публики. В 1978 году “Ricchi & Poveri” представляли Италию на конкурсе “Eurovision” и заняли 12-е место с песней “Questo Amore”. Такие композиции группы как “Come Vorrei” (1981), “Amarsi un po`” (1982), “Piccolo amore” (1982), “Voulez Vous Dancer” (1983, приз как самой продаваемой песне 1983 года в Европе), “Sei la sola che amo” (1983), “Acapulco” (1983), “Cosa Sei” (1983), “Se m`innamoro” (1985, 1-е место на фестивале в Сан-Ремо), “Dimmi Quando” (1985), “Azzurro” (1985) и другие получили большую известность не только в Европе, но и в СССР, США, Канаде и Южной Америке.
